Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov announced that he will meet with his American counterpart Marco Rubio on July 23. The meeting is set to take place in Manila, the capital of the Philippines.

The discussions will focus on the wars in Ukraine and the Middle East. “This meeting will be useful in any case. It is preferable to ask questions and get answers,” Lavrov commented on the upcoming discussion.

Currently, peace negotiations in Ukraine have reached a point that seems to be deadlocked, reports Agerpres. The attention of the international community is focused on the Middle East, while the Kremlin continues to advance territorial claims to Ukraine.

Donald Trump has previously praised the massive attacks of the Ukrainians on remote areas of Russia, believing that this could put an end to the war.
