Russians should not expect gasoline to be as accessible as it was in the past, stated the Vice President of the Commission for Economic Policy in the State Duma, Stanislav Naumov.
The deputy stated that the period when fuel was available without restrictions for car owners has ended, and he urged citizens to change their consumption habits according to the “new reality”.
“What was before will not be anymore. Society must understand that, in such situations, sometimes it needs to self-regulate its consumption”, Naumov declared for RTVI.
He warned that drivers must come to terms not only with potential restrictions, but also with higher fuel prices. According to him, the authorities’ priority is to keep gasoline physically available at as many gas stations in Russia as possible, even if it will be more expensive than in the past.
