Emmanuel Macron has been harshly criticized, after Paris Match published on its cover a photo of the head of state on a jet ski, during his vacation in Brégançon.
The First Secretary of the Socialist Party, Olivier Faure, has chastised him for having fun during the heatwave, in the context of the vegetation fires in France.
“During the heatwave, when France is burning, when some of the French could not go on vacation, the president is having fun on a jet ski at Brégançon. Is this the message? Very successful,” Faure wrote on X.
The head of state is photographed on a moving jet ski, in profile, looking towards the camera and wearing sunglasses, reports realitatea.md. The image is accompanied by the message “Last summer in command”.
The publication quotes several statements from political advisors, under the protection of anonymity, who say that during the holiday, the leader from Paris practices boxing, running, and surfing.
