An illegal network for exporting goods to Russia, which are banned by sanctions, has been discovered in Germany. According to the publication Bild, “hundreds of tons” of embargoed goods are regularly shipped through a system created by former employees of the company RusPost GmbH, the German subsidiary of the Russian Post, coordinated by the former director Dmitri V.

In order to mask the operation, a logistics company was registered in his name in December 2022, operating solely on the basis of a PO Box in Cologne. The parcels are brought to a warehouse near Berlin-Brandenburg airport. From there, 40-ton trucks transport them to Russia, transiting through Poland and Belarus. Near the warehouse, journalists from Bild repeatedly noticed a BMW car registered in the name of Dmitri V.

To test the scheme, the reporters sent five packages with defective electronic components, which are on the sanctions list, falsely declaring them as harmless items – books, scarves, and hats. Inside, they also hid GPS devices to track the route. The delivery cost of each package (2 kg) was 26 euros. The company’s employee refused to issue a receipt, but applied a transport label from the state postal company of Uzbekistan — UzPost, which does not have legal permission to operate in Germany.
