Maia Sandu believes that, through cognitive warfare, the Kremlin is trying to undermine the support given to Ukraine. The statement was made by the head of state during her visit to Vilnius, on March 10.
The President of Moldova said that Moscow is fighting against the expansion of the European Union. At the same time, the head of state presented the experience of the Republic of Moldova, mentioning that the entire society, along with the Government, responded to Russia’s attempts to manipulate information.
“We have learned from our partners. But now I believe we all need to work together, as this cognitive war affects the support for Ukraine and the support for expansion. I believe that especially the countries that have had more experience with Russia in the past, with Russia’s interference, can truly contribute to helping Ukraine win this cognitive war,” declared Maia Sandu.
Speaking about peace negotiations, the President of Moldova mentioned that it must be fair and lasting. In her opinion, Vladimir Putin would not be interested in ending the war and that hostilities will not end in a few months.
