The Kremlin will not display all its military technology in Red Square during the May 9th parade. Russian authorities cite alleged terrorist threats.
The announcements were made by the Russian Ministry of Defense and the Kremlin’s press secretary, Dmitri Peskov. The latter stated that the reason would be the alleged terrorist threats from Ukraine.
“The regime in Kiev, which is losing ground on the battlefield every day, has now launched large-scale terrorist activities. Considering this threat, of course, all measures are being taken to minimize the danger. There will be a parade. Last year there was an anniversary parade.”
A large-scale one, as expected for a significant anniversary. This time it’s not an anniversary, but the parade will take place in a reduced format, stated the Kremlin’s press secretary, Dmitri Peskov, quoted by Meduza.
The Russian Ministry of Defense has specified that the May 9th event will include representatives from all branches of the armed forces, but in some cases, video sequences will be presented, including with troops in Ukraine, reports Agerpres. Military aircraft will be lifted into the air above the center of Moscow at the end of the parade.
