A flight device similar to a Shahed drone flew over the airspace of Moldova on the night from Monday to Tuesday. The incident occurred close to midnight.
According to the Ministry of Defense, the radars detected the drone around 23:41, on August 10. The flying device was moving from the direction of Stepanivka, Odessa region, Ukraine.
A drone unauthorizedly flew over the airspace of the Republic of Moldova, through the Priozeornoia locality. Subsequently, at 23:42, the aircraft left the Moldovan airspace, heading north.
“It has been established that the characteristics of the flying apparatus are similar to Gheran 3 (Shahed 238) which flew over our country’s airspace following the Russian Federation’s aerial attacks on the Odessa region, Ukraine, last night,” the officials from the Ministry of Defense conveyed.
The Chisinau diplomacy announced on Monday the recall for consultations of the ambassador to Moscow, Lilian Darii, after another drone-missile crashed and exploded over the weekend in the locality of Crocmaz, in the Stefan Voda district, on the border with Ukraine.
The country’s administration asserts that Russian military personnel, who constantly attack Ukraine, are responsible for these incidents.
