The National Army is expanding. Thus, Moldova will have 2000 more soldiers, according to Minister Anatolie Nosatîi.
The official reported that the measure is provided in the strategy approved in October 2025, reports Realitatea. According to him, the increase in the number of staff will be carried out gradually.
“The planned increase in the number of soldiers in the National Army is provided in the Military Strategy that was approved last October. Itis a necessity, in order to have a military structure capable of fulfilling its missions.The number provided there is 8500 soldiers and 2000 civilians. I want to mention that this will be done gradually”, Nosatîi explained.
According to the Minister of Defense, the National Army currently has 6500 soldiers and 2000 civilian employees.
