A Shahed drone, coming from the direction of Ukraine, entered unauthorized into the airspace of the Republic of Moldova in the afternoon of September 8th. The flying device crossed the Transnistrian region, headed towards Chisinau, and left the country through the Ungheni district, continuing its flight towards Romania.
The surveillance systems of the National Army detected the drone at 16:20. The Shahed was moving from the town of Slavianoserbsk in Ukraine towards Bender, crossing the Transnistrian region.
At 16:30, the authorities temporarily restricted the airspace in the center of the country. The restrictions were lifted after the drone left the territory of the Republic of Moldova.
The drone was moving towards the municipality of Chișinău at 16:32, and four minutes later it was located in the area of the village Bălănești, Nisporeni, according to newsmaker.md. The drone continued its flight towards Cetireni, Ungheni district.
At 16:37, the aircraft left the airspace of the Republic of Moldova near the locality of Zagarancea and headed towards Golaesti, Iasi County, Romania.
