North Korea has completed a residential district in Pyongyang for the families of soldiers killed fighting alongside Russian forces against the Ukrainian army, state media announced on Monday, in the latest effort by leader Kim Jong-un to honor the troops sent to war.
Kim attended a completion ceremony on Sunday, accompanied by his daughter, Kim Ju-ae, according to the state-run Korean Central News Agency.
State media photos showed Kim walking through the new district and visiting the families’ homes.
