Belarus has reduced its deliveries of gasoline and diesel, carried out by rail, to Russia in September, in anticipation of scheduled maintenance works at one of its refineries.

Nevertheless, fuel deliveries have remained above the monthly averages recorded since the beginning of the year, according to two industry sources and calculations by the international news agency Reuters.

Belarus supplies fuel to Russia from its two refineries, which process Russian crude oil and have a combined capacity of 24 million metric tons per year, or 480,000 barrels per day.

According to data provided by Reuters sources, rail transports of gasoline from Belarus to Russia fell by nearly 13% in September compared to the previous month, reaching approximately 170,000 tons, while diesel transports decreased by 29%, down to 105,000 tons.

Fuel deliveries for aircraft from Belarus to Russia amounted to approximately 25,000 tons last month, an increase from the 9,600 tons in August.
