Poland has granted Ukraine military aid totaling approximately 3.83 billion euros (16.45 billion zlotys) since the beginning of the Russian invasion in February 2022, announced on Monday the Polish Minister of Defense, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, according to Radio Poland.
According to the minister, Warsaw has decided to make public the information regarding the military equipment delivered to Ukraine, against the backdrop of internal political tensions and pressures coming from the right-wing opposition.
“The total value of the donations made amounts to approximately 16 billion 450 million zlotys (3.83 billion euros),” Kosiniak-Kamysz stated at the press conference. He added that the disclosure of additional details will require “some time”.
Unlike other European allies (such as the United Kingdom, Germany or the Czech Republic), Poland has so far preferred not to publicly disclose the details of military aid, citing security reasons.
