The Russian army attacked a crossing point from Ukraine to Moldova, according to Vladimir Zelenski. The Ukrainian president made the announcement on social networks.
The Border Police of Moldova reported to realitatea.md that it would be about the customs office at Giurgiulești. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Chisinau, on the morning of August 20, two drone incidents were reported near the customs office.
In the first case, border police discovered a crater and fragments of a drone. The second incident involved the fall of an unmanned aircraft in a truck parking lot.
Concurrently, according to the National Army, a drone violated Moldova’s airspace around 3:22 AM.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Chisinau has condemned the Russian attacks on Ukraine and clarified that the Republic of Moldova stands in solidarity with its neighboring country, following the offensive launched by the Russians.
