NATO countries would be planning to wage a war against the Russian Federation, just as Nazi Germany did in 1941, stated Vladimir Putin, in an address to the graduates of the Military Academy. The Kremlin leader urged them to be ready to protect their country.
According to Putin, Moscow would be ready to respond to threats, reports The Moscow Times. The official also revealed that, in his opinion, NATO states would create threats to Russia, then accuse it of taking measures for “protection”.
“If previously NATO countries limited themselves to supporting the regime in Kiev, which came to power illegally, by force of arms, through a coup d’etat, now the West openly says that it is preparing for war with us and is increasing its military budgets.”
“First, they create threats to our country, force us to take necessary self-defense measures, and then immediately accuse us. You will enter service and lead military units and formations in difficult times,” the president warned the graduates gathered at the Kremlin.
Putin further justified the modernization of the nuclear triad and the strengthening of the space forces, due to the danger that the West could represent for Russia.
