Vladimir Putin is scheduled to visit Turkey in February, his first visit to a NATO country since the start of the war on Ukraine on February 24, 2022.

“Yes, a visit is being organized,” said Putin’s foreign affairs adviser, Yuri Ushakov, quoted by the Interfax news agency. The Kremlin has not announced a date for this visit.
The war in Ukraine will be a major topic of discussion during Putin’s visit to Turkey, writes the DPA news agency, cited by Agerpres.

Putin has been accused of war crimes by the International Criminal Court in The Hague and has largely avoided traveling abroad since the start of the war. Although there is an international arrest warrant for him, there are no indications that Turkey will arrest him, notes DPA.
