So far, Elon Musk has spent approximately 366 million dollars on the 2026 midterm elections, of which 276 million were spent just in July, in an attempt to help Republicans maintain control over Congress, even though the Democrats’ chances of regaining the House of Representatives and the US Senate have increased, notes Reuters.
Musk’s generosity, previously reported by the New York Times, makes the world’s richest man likely to become the largest individual political donor in this year’s elections, according to campaign finance data.
