Romania closes the Russian consulate in Constanța, after a drone crashed into a residential building in Galați, injuring two people. The head of the mission is declared an undesirable person.

The statement was made by the leader from Cotroceni, Nicușor Dan, after the Supreme Defense Council of the Country convened.

“The responsive measures related to declaring the Russian consul general persona non grata and closing the consulate general will not be delayed,” announced Maria Zaharova, spokesperson for Russian diplomacy.

A drone crashed, Friday night, over a block in Galaţi. An explosion followed and flames broke out, injuring two people. NATO was informed and condemned “Russia’s irresponsibility”, while the EU announced that it is preparing the 21st package of sanctions against Russia.
