The censure motion initiated by the PSD, AUR, and PACE parliamentarians against the Government led by the liberal Ilie Bolojan was adopted on Tuesday by the Romanian Parliament. There were 281 deputies who supported it.

According to MEP Siegfried Mureșan, in such circumstances, Romania could stagnate, reports realitatea.md. In such circumstances, joint projects with the Republic of Moldova could also be at a standstill.

“It is equally important for the Republic of Moldova that Romania be led by a prime minister who is truly pro-European and credible at the European level. A puppet prime minister, who claims to be pro-European, but is subservient to an anti-European PSD-AUR majority, will not be credible at the European level. And you know from the Republic of Moldova how serious it is when you have a president who is not credible, like Igor Dodon, or a prime minister controlled by oligarchs,” said Mureșan.

After the fall of the Government, consultations with the factions at Cotroceni Palace are to follow. Nicușor Dan is set to discuss potential candidacies for the position of Prime Minister with the parliamentarians.
