Two Russian Gerbera drones were destroyed by the Romanian army in the Neptun Deep area. The acting Defense Minister announced that the Romanian authorities have discussed the matter with officials from Ukraine.
Unmanned flying devices were observed on August 11, around 8:00. They were located in Romania’s exclusive economic zone, near Constanța. The personnel of a civilian ship, which was carrying out work in the area, spotted them.
A Coast Guard ship, on board of which was a team specialized in intervention, moved to the indicated area and established that it was about possible drone fragments, and some could have explosives, writes news.ro.
The Ukrainian authorities have communicated that the aircraft do not belong to them. On Tuesday afternoon, the explosive fragments were detonated in a controlled manner.
