The Prime Minister of Bulgaria, Rumen Radev, stated that the “strategic awakening” of the European Union must begin with negotiations for peace and the development of a new security system. This was the reason why Bulgaria decided to withdraw from the “Coalition of Will”, which took place on Tuesday in Paris, explained the Bulgarian Prime Minister in front of the Council of Ministers, according to Agerpres.

“The strategic awakening must begin with negotiation efforts to restore peace in Europe and by creating a new, sustainable and efficient security system”, declared the Bulgarian Prime Minister, Rumen Radev, on Wednesday, according to BTA agency.

Rumen Radev stated that, this week, Bulgaria has contributed to shaping European foreign policy.

According to the prime minister, Brussels took into account the reservations expressed by Sofia regarding the inclusion of three people in the 21st package of European Union sanctions against Russia: the Russian patriarch, the owner of Lukoil company, Vagit Alekperov, and the head of the consortium that supplies spare parts for the Sofia metro system.
