Russia finds itself in a critical situation, where the economic crisis, failures on the front, and geopolitical issues combine into a “perfect storm,” warns popular blogger Z and “furious patriot” Maxim Kalashnikov, notes Dialog.
According to Kalashnikov, the Russian Federation is on the brink of events comparable to those of February 1917, when the Russian Empire ceased to exist. The information was reported on his blog on March 29.
The blogger warns that “something bad is brewing” in Russia. He emphasizes that “the sharks of the raw materials industry are horrified by the fact that the government has urged them to make ‘voluntary contributions’ for ‘SVO’, while their industries are collapsing. The war is devouring their resources… In other words, the superior social base of power is disappearing. The poor population is tired of war and furious because of the restrictions imposed through Telegram and the internet.”
In addition to economic issues, Kalashnikov also observes the Kremlin’s geopolitical failure, mentioning the possibility of ally Viktor Orbán’s defeat in Hungary and the rapid decline of Russian leaders’ electoral ratings. The situation on the front is no more favorable, as US-mediated peace negotiations are stalled and there are no clear prospects for reversing the course of the conflict. According to the blogger, even a new wave of mobilization will not change the situation.
“We are on the threshold of dramatic events,” writes Kalashnikov, anticipating massive strikes in the metallurgical and mining industries, severely affected by the crisis. Protests could escalate quickly, generating disturbances that could lead to the end of the Russian Federation in its current form, just as the Russian Empire collapsed in 1917.
