At least three Russians have died while waiting in line at the gas station, according to information published by Meduza. An 80-year-old man passed away in the Perm region.
The man fell ill on July 14th, while waiting to refuel his car. Witnesses called an ambulance, but the resuscitation efforts were not successful.
At the end of June, a 75-year-old driver died at a gas station in Petrozavodsk, Karelia region.
Another case took place on June 28, in the city of Cita. The 43-year-old man brought a friend to the gas station and passed away there.
Due to the current fuel crisis in Russia, drivers are forced to spend hours in lines at gas stations. Many regions in Russia have imposed restrictions on the amount of gasoline sold per vehicle, and in some cases, a record is kept of the car that has been refueled, based on the registration number.
