The Ukrainian army has hit the Russian satellite communications center in Dubna, located in the Moscow region, announced on Monday the General Staff of the Ukrainian army, reports Ukrainska Pravda.
“The space communications center in Dubna, located in the Moscow region, has been hit. Dense smoke is observed at the scene. Efforts are being made to assess enemy losses,” the Ukrainian army reported, according to Ukrainska Pravda, as relayed by News.ro.
The Russian state news agency TASS subsequently reported that the center “was the target of a massive drone attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and television broadcasts and communications were not affected.”
“Measures are being taken to remedy the consequences of the attack. No member of the Space Communications Center staff was injured”, TASS specified, citing the parent organization of the center, the largest state operator in Russia in the field.
The “Dubna” Control Center is located in the north of Moscow. It is one of the centers that ensure the operation of satellite communication channels and broadcasting and television services.
