A survey conducted for the publication El Pais shows that citizens of Spain perceive Donald Trump as the greatest threat to world peace, ahead of Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia.

Each new opinion poll comes to confirm the massive rejection of the Spaniards towards the figure of the United States President. An analysis conducted for the publication El Pais reveals a devastating score for the US president: the Spaniards consider Donald Trump the greatest threat to world peace, slightly ahead of Vladimir Putin, both followed by the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The survey reveals a deep pessimism about the future of the planet, to the point where not even 10% of respondents expect it to be more prosperous and stable, writes El Pais.

Also, a nearly equal division is observed, heavily marked by ideological differences, among the Spaniards regarding the increase in defense spending. On the other hand, the exit from NATO is only supported by the voters of the Podemos party.

When respondents are asked to choose the leaders who pose the most danger to peace on the planet, Trump is mentioned by 81%, compared to 79.3% who mention Putin and 71.2% who mention Netanyahu. The rest of the leaders proposed by the 40dB company (which conducted the survey) are at a greater distance: the new supreme leader of Iran, Mojtaba Khamenei (62.9%); North Korean President Kim Jong-Un (62.25%) and, at an even greater distance, the head of state of the other superpower, China, Xi Jinping, who is at 49.3%.
