Food producers have warned the supermarket chains in Saint Petersburg that they cannot deliver goods on time due to a lack of fuel. Suppliers from other regions are sending notifications and asking not to make complaints.

Alexander Myshinsky, the head of Real Group of Companies, which operates a chain of supermarkets in Saint Petersburg, confirmed that foreign suppliers are reporting delivery delays. According to him, the situation is not critical yet, but industry representatives are monitoring it, writes The Moscow Times.

In the meantime, the fuel crisis in Russia continues to worsen due to Ukrainian drone attacks on oil refineries. Currently, these or other restrictions on gasoline and diesel sales have affected over 80 regions.

Limits on fuel procurement have been officially introduced in 40 regions, while in the rest, they are implemented at the level of gas stations.

Due to the lack of fuel and queues at gas stations, Russian carriers have begun to warn customers about tariff increases of at least 10%.
