The former Minister of Justice, Vladimir Cebotari, claims that the black package that Vlad Plahotniuc handed over to Igor Dodon contained money. According to statements made at the Supreme Court of Justice, the amount would be between 500,000 and 750,000 euros.

The former vice-president of the Democratic Party of Moldova stated in court that Vladimir Plahotniuc told him that the bag contained money, according to TV8. During the hearings, Cebotari also claimed that he attended several meetings between representatives of the Democratic Party and those of the Socialist Party, most of them taking place at the PDM headquarters, but also in a restaurant.

Members of both parties would have been present at the discussions. Furthermore, Vladimir Cebotari stated that Vlad Plahotniuc and Serghei Iaralov informed him about the progress of the negotiations, noting that it was sometimes unclear whether the discussions were being held with the socialists or with representatives of the Russian Federation.

The former official also said that he received two USB sticks with recordings, which he was supposed to pass on to representatives of diplomatic missions. Cebotari says he did not check the content of the materials he received directly from Vladimir Plahotniuc.
