The deputy of the Odessa Regional Council, Evgheni Filonov, who is also the son-in-law of the so-called prime minister of the Transnistrian region, Alexandr Rozenberg, is accused of false statements.

The announcement was made by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU), reports IPN. According to officials, Filonov did not indicate in his wealth declarations for the years 2024 and 2025 loans totaling over 58 million hryvnias, equivalent to about 1.1 million euros.

Irregularities in the deputy’s statements were detected previously as well. Following the checks carried out, it was found that the value of undeclared assets and liabilities exceeded 60 million hryvnias. This includes financial resources, bank accounts, and other assets that were not included in the official documents.

Filonov is known not only as a deputy of the Odessa Regional Council, but also as the director of the municipal enterprise “Sports Palace”, which is under the jurisdiction of the regional authorities.

In 2022, journalists from RISE Moldova and “Slidstvo.Info” established that Filonov is married to Valentina Rozenberg, the daughter of Alexandr Rozenberg, who holds the position of head of the so-called government of the Transnistrian region. Rozenberg is among the most influential officials of the administration in Tiraspol and has been leading the alleged executive of the region since 2022.
