The French authorities have detected an information interference operation, coordinated by the Russian network Storm-1516, targeting President Emmanuel Macron. The data distributed by propagandists suggest the involvement of the Parisian leader in the Epstein scandal.
The information attack is documented by the French service for monitoring and protection against foreign digital interference, VIGINUM, writes ziare.com. According to sources cited by BFMTV, Emmanuel Macron’s name appears over 200 times in the millions of pages of the Jeffrey Epstein file, published by the United States Department of Justice.
This is not due to his involvement in illegal actions, but because the French president is mentioned in discussions between other people or in press articles. There is no evidence of direct contact, a meeting, or other offenses between Epstein and Macron.
In the Storm-1516 publications, it is noted that Macron would have been a guest at Epstein’s residence in Paris. The information refers to a false article, attributed to the publication France Soir.
The Storm-1516 operation does not only target France. According to the VIGINUM report, Storm-1516 has carried out at least 77 operations against Western countries between 2023 and 2025.
