Tesla’s sales have decreased by 13% in the first three months of this year, the largest decline in its history. On Wednesday, Tesla reported selling 336,681 cars in this quarter, with 50,000 fewer vehicles sold compared to the first three months of last year, write  CNN.

Tesla faced protests outside its representatives by those who oppose Musk’s actions in his role as head of the Department for Government Efficiency (DOGE), as well as the policies of President Donald Trump’s administration. There have also been cases of vandalism against Tesla installations, including its charging stations, as well as some cars. These incidents could potentially discourage Tesla potential buyers from continuing with their purchases, CNN writes.

Tesla nu a menționat protestele împotriva companiei în declarația sa de vânzări. Totuși, a indicat o actualizare a modelului Y în timpul trimestrului, care a oprit temporar producția la toate cele patru fabrici pentru câteva săptămâni.

“We thank all of our clients, employees, suppliers, shareholders, and supporters who have helped us achieve these results.”the company said.

The decrease was more serious than expected by Tesla analysts, who estimated quarterly sales of up to 350,000.

Tesla’s shares, which nearly doubled in value after the presidential elections, hoping that Musk’s close ties with Trump would result in favorable policies for the company, have lost 44% of their value since reaching their all-time high in December.
