A Russian military engineer, a PhD in engineering sciences and an employee of a company that manufactures engines for Russia’s strategic aviation, was killed in the city of Samara. The operation is said to have been carried out by the volunteer unit “Budanov’s Detachments”.

This is about Andrei Tisarev, the head of the thermophysics and gas dynamics design department within the aircraft engine department of the Design Bureau “Kuznetsov”, part of the PJSC UED company, reports the Ukrainian press.

The information was initially published on his Telegram channel by journalist and blogger Serghei Ivanov. According to Ivanov, he was killed on the evening of July 15, on Lukashev Street in Samara.

Tisarev held a doctorate in engineering sciences and was the author of patents in the field of aircraft engine design. According to Ivanov, the engineer’s inventions and developments were used in Russian strategic aviation.

“He contributed to Russia’s missile attacks on the civilian population of Ukraine, using Russian strategic missile carriers and bombers”, Ivanov wrote.

The joint-stock company “Kuznetsov”, where the engineer worked, manufactures and maintains propulsion systems for Tu-95MS and Tu-22M3 aircraft. The factory also works on engines for the heavy transport helicopters Mi-26.

Ivanov reported that the volunteer unit “Budanov’s Detachment” was involved in the operation, the existence of which had not been publicly discussed before.
