The war with Iran has cost the United States, from February until now, 37.5 billion dollars. The figure was announced by the Pentagon chief, Pete Hegseth, at a hearing in the US Congress.

Hegseth’s hearing in the Budget and Estimation Committee was presented in the context of the Pentagon chief’s request for an additional funding of 70 billion dollars for the War Department.

Analysts estimated in March that the war against Iran is costing American taxpayers over 890 million dollars a day, writes realitatea.md. The calculations refer to air and naval operations, ground forces, weapon systems, and missile interceptions, the initial phase of the conflict proving to be the most expensive.

In May, the Pentagon’s financial controller, Jules Hurst, estimated the cost at 29 billion dollars.
