The Parliament will convene on July 21, in a plenary session. The activity program of the Government formed by Vasile Tofan will be examined, and a vote of confidence is expected to be given to the new Cabinet of Ministers, also formed by Vasile Tofan.
The plenary session will begin at 11:00.
Last week, Maia Sandu appointed Vasile Tofan as the candidate for the position of Prime Minister, following consultations with parliamentary factions.
This week, the designated candidate is conducting consultations with representatives of associations from various fields, civil society, and parliamentary factions, in order to finalize the activity program and the composition of the Government, according to the press service of the Legislature.
In accordance with the legislation, the Parliament grants the vote of confidence to the Government with the majority vote of the elected deputies, then the Executive is appointed by presidential decree.
