Contemporary patriotic books have been included in the list for extracurricular reading. The titles have been approved by the Ministry of Education of Russia.

Minister Serghei Kravtsov personally reported this to Vladimir Putin, Fontanka reports. The publication writes that the information was presented to the Russian leader during a council meeting for the implementation of state policy in support of the Russian language and the languages of the peoples of Russia.

According to the minister, the list includes “books about the modern heroes of the homeland, including heroes of special military operations”.

Kravtsov mentioned in his speech the books “Donbas – The Heart of Russia” by Oleg Izmailov, “Heroes of the Special Military Operation: Symbols of Russian Courage” by Mikhail Fedorov, and “Shadows of Donbas: Small Stories of the Great War” by Oleg Roi.
