The number of confirmed losses of the Russian army in Ukraine has exceeded 145 thousand people. These data are provided by “Mediazona” and “BBC Russia” based on monitoring of open sources. In the last two weeks, the number of deaths has increased by almost five thousand – twice as much as the usual rate, notes “Mediazona”.
Most deaths were recorded in Bashkortostan – 7,253 people, and in Tatarstan – 6,441. For comparison, in Moscow 1,688 victims are confirmed, in Saint Petersburg – 1,314, in Ryazan – 668, and in Chechnya – 365.
Of those who died, 43,789 were volunteers, 18,876 were recruited detainees, and 15,767 were mobilized people. In the case of 39,032 victims, no additional information is available. Also, the death of 12 generals is confirmed: three lieutenant generals, seven major generals, and two former commanders in retirement.
The greatest losses are among the age groups 33-35 and 36-38 years – 13,795 and 13,811 deaths respectively. In the 18-20 age category, 3,496 deaths are recorded, and the fewest deaths are among those over 63 years old: 411 in the 63-65 age group, 37 between 66-68 years old, and only 6 between 69-71 years old.
