Vladimir Zelensky listened to a report from Ukrainian General Evgheni Khmara, regarding long-term and medium-term sanctions, as well as the results obtained by the Ukrainian Security officers on the front and the elite Alpha group. In this context, the leader from Kiev announced that his military will launch a 40-day operation against Russia.
The leader from Kiev conveys that through this strategy, Ukraine wants to influence and encourage the Kremlin to stop the war.
“It is important that the Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) has demonstrated the highest indicators of protecting Ukraine’s positions on the front for several consecutive months, thanks to the use of various types of drones. The Alpha Special Operations Center is a leader in terms of the results of strikes on the personnel and equipment of the occupying forces,” said Zelenski.
The President of Ukraine further stated that he had discussed with the general about the challenges in internal security.
The Alpha Group, which Zelenski speaks of, is an elite subdivision of the Security Service in Kiev. Until the 2014 protests and the annexation of Crimea, the officers of this group were responsible for escorting state reserves, detaining dangerous criminal groups, and anti-terrorist operations.
