The Polish Foreign Minister, Radosław Sikorski, stated to TVP World that “we are entering very turbulent waters”, arguing that the conflicts in Ukraine and Iran are interconnected. He expressed his concern about their expansion.
Sikorski added that Russia is becoming “with each passing year more and more a vassal of China”, adding: “China’s role is to do nothing, to prepare for a confrontation and to watch its rivals weaken themselves.”
When asked whether the two theaters of conflict, Iran and Ukraine, are beginning to look like a global war, Sikorski stated on Tuesday, during the On the Record program from TVP World: “[The conflict] concerning Iran is extending to the Red Sea. And the one between Russia and Ukraine has extended within Russia.”
“And, as you know, there are fears and accusations that Russia is considering expanding even further [to the West]. “So yes, it is a concern. I hope that Russia will put an end to its unfortunate criminal adventure… before it’s too late for her.”
