The rocket that fell in Poland could have been carrying nuclear warheads, reveals Prime Minister Donald Tusk. The Russian Ambassador to Warsaw was summoned to the Foreign Ministry, a day after the shell exploded not far from Lublin.
The Polish authorities have confirmed that the projectile that crashed near its border with Ukraine was a Russian cruise missile, reports Agerpres.
On Friday, the Polish Minister of Defense, Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz, stated that, according to prosecutors, the missile was produced “in the second quarter of this year, at a factory near Moscow”.
The Polish army announced on Thursday morning that an unidentified flying object had entered NATO airspace and crashed on Polish territory, during heavy air strikes launched by Russia against Ukraine. It exploded in an uninhabited area near the village of Tarnawa Kolonia.
