Luca Niculescu is the proposal of Nicușor Dan for the position of prime minister. The announcement was made by the Romanian president, after consultations with parliamentary parties, at Cotroceni.
Luca Niculescu has experience in diplomacy and was the ambassador of Romania to France. By profession, the candidate for the head of the Government is a journalist.
Niculescu was the editor-in-chief of Free Europe Romania, a program host at Money Channel, TVR 1, Digi24. He wrote for the Dilema Veche magazine and was a permanent correspondent in Romania for French media – France Info, France Culture, France Inter, TV5 and the daily newspaper Libération.
Previously, Niculescu’s candidacy was discussed in the public sphere. However, he was not nominated in previous cases.
