Russian mass media have published details about an alleged peace plan for Ukraine, which was supposedly developed by representatives of the American president Donald Trump. According to the Ukrainian portal Glavcom, which is based on these reports, the project envisages, among other things, the partial withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from Donbas, as well as the creation of buffer zones under the auspices of the UN. The main points of the alleged peace plan:

The package of measures presents a general framework meant to effectively freeze the conflict before moving on to a political resolution, notes voennoedelo.com as well. One of the proposed measures would involve the Ukrainian forces leaving the part of Donbass that is still under their control.
Within the same agreement, Russia would commit not to deploy its troops in that area. Therefore, the plan could apply to the Slaviansk-Hramatorsk agglomeration, whose cities are still controlled by the Ukrainian army.
The two sides would be separated by a buffer zone monitored by a UN contingent. A similar mechanism is also proposed for a part of the Zaporizhia region, while Ukrainian jurisdiction over that territory would remain in force.
Another major condition refers to Ukraine’s future foreign policy. The country should officially establish its non-aligned status and renounce NATO membership at the constitutional level. Subsequently, a referendum and elections should take place. After that, the new Ukrainian authorities should sign a full peace agreement with Russia.
