The Telegraph: Iranian Ayatollahs don’t want an agreement. They want the Apocalypse.

To reach an effective agreement, you need to understand the psychology of the enemy. In recent days, Iran has shot down an American helicopter, attacked the international airport in Kuwait, threatened the Strait of Hormuz with drones – some of which were shot down on Saturday night – and launched missiles at Israel. Clearly, this is not the behavior of an adversary who is desperately longing for peace.

Tehran has also tied the interests of Hezbollah, its nihilistic representative in Lebanon, whose members use the Nazi salute, to its negotiations with Washington. We can only conclude that the regime continues to covet the destabilization of the region, the erasure of Israel from the face of the earth, and the collapse of the West. From Reagan to Obama, it has always been the same story: Tehran is leading Washington by the nose, comments The Telegraph.

Meanwhile, Iran is secretly safeguarding its underground reserve of highly enriched uranium. This means that its confiscation, i.e. the main goal of the USA, will be immeasurably more difficult, even with the signing of an agreement. And to further exacerbate the situation, Tehran also holds a reserve of uranium enriched up to 20%. Enriching it to 60% is incomparably easier than the initial stages of the procedure, but Iran keeps it hidden, outside of negotiations.

But where could that enrichment take place? Possibly at Kuh-e Kolang Gaz-la, or “Pickaxe Mountain”, an ultra-secret nuclear site that is exceptionally deep and heavily fortified. This aspect is avoided by Iranian negotiators. What kind of long-term plans could they be making, the author of the article wonders.

    Rebuilding the arsenal

Even more so, Tehran is taking advantage of the armistice to rapidly rebuild its missile sites, launchers, and military production capacity – a speed that has surprised Western intelligence services. (In last week’s exchange of strikes, Israel specifically targeted anti-aircraft batteries, which have reappeared like mushrooms after the rain against the backdrop of the cessation of hostilities.) It is clear that the regime is now eager to produce swords rather than plows.
