The Danish military intelligence services report, published on Wednesday, warned that the USA is increasingly prioritizing its own interests and “uses economic and technological power as a tool of power”, including towards allies and partners.
The report also highlights the fact that the USA now represents a potential threat even due to its claims over Greenland, according to POLITICO.
“The United States uses economic power, including in the form of threats with high tariffs, to impose its will and no longer excludes the use of military force, even against allies”, the report states, in a direct reference to Washington’s attempt to take control of Greenland from Denmark.
The report also mentions that “there is uncertainty about how relations between China and the USA will develop in the coming years”, as Beijing’s rapid rise has eroded the USA’s long-standing position as an uncontested global power.
