US President, Donald Trump, declared on Wednesday that the United States has seized millions of barrels of Iranian oil and that the American military will continue operations against Iran.
Speaking with journalists in the Oval Office, Trump claimed that American forces recently intercepted 22 ships carrying Iranian oil.
“We have confiscated millions of barrels of oil. Nobody knows this. Not even Iran knew, until now. A few nights ago, we stopped 22 ships. Late at night, without lights“, stated the American leader, quoted by CBS News.
Trump added that the United States struck Iranian radar installations and maintained that these operations have contributed to the rise in oil prices.
New threats against Iran
A few hours after the attacks from the previous night, Trump warned that the American military will continue operations against Iran and that new strikes will follow.
“I hit them hard yesterday and we will hit them again today“, Trump told reporters, according to BBC.
He reiterated the call to Tehran to accept an agreement and argued that Iran was “completely defeated from a military standpoint.”
Previously, Trump wrote on the Truth Social network that Iran “has delayed the negotiations for too long” and that it “will have to pay the price“.
