Trump’s envoy: Ukraine could be divided like post-war Berlin. “Kellogg’s map” causes concern.

The special presidential envoy for Ukraine, Keith Kellogg, said that, as part of the peace agreement, Ukraine could be divided into zones “similar to Berlin after World War II.”

President Trump’s special representative for Ukraine, 80-year-old retired General Keith Kellogg, stated that after a ceasefire, Ukraine could be divided into zones of responsibility for allied forces, according to The Times.

“British and French troops could be deployed in the west of the country, the Russian army would be in the occupied east, and there would be Ukrainian forces and a demilitarized zone between them. In other words, you can make it look almost like what happened with Berlin after World War II, when you had the Russian zone, the French zone, the British zone, the American zone. A 29 km demilitarized zone could be created along the existing front lines in the east,” Kellogg stated.

After his statements caused contradictory reactions, Keith Kellogg wrote on Network X: “The article from The Times actually distorts what I said. I was talking about the peacekeeping forces after the ceasefire in supporting Ukrainian sovereignty. When I spoke about demarcation, I was referring to zones or areas of responsibility for allied forces (without American troops). In other words, I was NOT referring to the division of Ukraine.”

Is Trump satisfied with Kellogg’s idea about Ukraine?
Considering Trump’s reaction to Russia’s attack on Sumy, political analyst Dmytro Levus believes that “Kellogg’s plan” is a perfect fit for the American president.

In a conversation with Focus, the expert stated: “No matter how many civilians are killed by Russia, Trump and his team are not too radical towards Russia, emphasizing the White House’s desire to end the war.”

After the attack on the city of Sumy, Levus does not see a significant change in the mood in Washington.

“Trump is determined to make peace at any cost, expecting Ukraine to pay this price. Therefore, I think Trump is quite prepared for a freezing scenario – it is possible in the form that Kellogg proposes,” the expert adds.
