Over 200,000 households have been left without electricity in the Russia-occupied territory in southern Ukraine, following an attack by the Ukrainian army, announced the Moscow-installed authorities on Sunday.
“As a result of an enemy attack on the energy infrastructures in the region, a large part of the Zaporizhia region was left without electricity”, announced Evgheni Balitski, who governs the Russia-occupied areas in this territory, according to Agerpres.
According to Balitski, 213,000 subscribers and 386 localities in the Zaporizhia region are currently deprived of electricity following this attack.
The governor installed by Moscow in the neighboring Kherson region, Vladimir Saldo, reported on Saturday evening the bombing by Ukraine of a power substation that cut off electricity in 14 cities and 450 villages. Subsequently, he announced that the power supply had been restored after emergency repair work.
