As of Monday, 5:00 PM local time, Russia has been carrying out a disinformation operation aimed at sabotaging the agreements reached by the Presidents of Ukraine and the USA, Volodymyr Zelensky and Donald Trump, at their meeting in Florida, claims the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine (FISU), in a statement released on Tuesday and quoted by Agerpres.

On Monday afternoon, Russia accused Ukraine of attempting to attack the residence of Russian President Vladimir Putin in the Novgorod region using 91 drones. The Kremlin did not provide evidence to support the accusations.

The Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine considers the “drone fake” as a “nervous reaction of the Kremlin to the progress made in the negotiations between the Presidents of Ukraine and the United States at Mar-a-Lago”.

In the future, Russia will use the narrative of an “attack on Putin’s residence” to justify a tougher negotiating position, for future combined attacks on Ukraine during the New Year’s celebration, and to discredit the Ukrainian leadership, according to the quoted statement.
