The authorities in Azerbaijan have issued an international arrest warrant for the chief advisor to the Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation and blogger Z, Alexei Chadaev, the presenter of the “Moscow 24” television station, Ivan Knyazev, and the political scientist and media manager Semen Uralov, reports Minval, citing the General Prosecutor’s Office of the republic.
All three propagandists, according to the institution’s statements, are involved in public incitements to terrorism, to the “forceful change of the constitutional order” of Azerbaijan, to the violation of the country’s territorial integrity, and to the incitement of national hatred.
The reason for the “well-founded suspicions” were two episodes of the show “Clarity of Understanding”, published on the YouTube channel “Semion Uralov” on July 14 and August 13. In the first show, according to prosecutors, the propagandists encouraged the use of violent methods against Azerbaijan, the overthrow of the country’s legitimate authority, and the violation of its territorial integrity, as well as inciting national hatred. It seems that this is about the show titled “How many agents of Aliev are in Russia?”, which is now no longer available.
In another broadcast, Chadaev, Knyazev, and Uralov, according to authorities, incited terrorism, including the use of violence against the republic, the elimination of certain individuals, and their “targeted liquidation”. The authors of the show “Purity of Understanding” present their content as being “political analysis”.
All three were accused in absentia under several articles of the Penal Code. It’s about “public incitement to terrorism”, “incitement against the state” and “incitement to national hatred and enmity”. The involved individuals were arrested in absentia and put on the wanted list, including through Interpol.
