Russian President Vladimir Putin threatened Europe on Tuesday, in a press statement made before meeting with Donald Trump’s envoys. Putin says that Russia is ready for war “right now”, and “if Europe suddenly starts a war with us, a situation could quickly arise where we have no one to negotiate with”. Also, the Russian president warned that he will strike Ukrainian ports in response to attacks on oil tankers and reiterated his desire for Ukraine to be “isolated from the sea”, which means conquering Odessa and reaching the Danube Estuary.

Russia is currently acting with caution, “surgically”, in the case of Ukraine. But if Europe decides to start a war with Russia, the situation will unfold completely differently, emphasized Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“If Europe suddenly wants to start a war with us and even starts one, then a situation could quickly arise where we have no one to negotiate with. As for Ukraine, we are acting surgically, with caution. This is not a war in the direct, modern sense of the word,” Putin said.
