Russian Telegram channels have published a new footage from a gas station in the Moscow region, where approximately ten people were involved in a brawl after a driver allegedly tried to refuel without waiting in line.
According to Dialog, conflicts at gas stations are occurring against the backdrop of an increasingly pronounced fuel shortage in the regions of the Russian Federation.
The conflict began at the fuel queue, most likely after one of the drivers tried to refuel without waiting in line. In the published images, you can see how two men throw themselves at each other, after which the conflict quickly escalates into a brawl.
One of the men takes off his shirt and heads towards his opponent, while other participants try to separate them. In total, ten people were involved in this conflict.
Reuters reported on Monday that in August, restrictions on fuel sales were reintroduced in at least 10 regions. Supply issues were also reported in the Moscow region, while Russian authorities acknowledged that the situation remains difficult in several areas.
The crisis began to worsen in the spring, against the backdrop of drone attacks on Russian refineries and the seasonal increase in demand. In some regions, queues and limits on the amount of fuel a driver can purchase have appeared. The authorities in Moscow responded by banning exports, temporarily relaxing some requirements regarding fuel quality.
