Fadei Nagacevschi, presented as an observer at Vlad Plahotniuc’s defense trial, is said to have connections with the GRU (Main Intelligence Directorate) in Russia. At least that’s what the data presented in an investigation published by Malenkaya Strana suggests.

The authors recount the political journey of the former Minister of Justice. At the same time, according to them, the politician refused further collaborations with the formations after the arrest of Vlad Plahotniuc.

According to Malenkaya Strana, Nagacevschi has connections with Vladimir Comeltinov, who is responsible for the operations with the antennas placed on the Russian embassy. The authors claim that the diplomat, who was later expelled from Moldova, is a GRU officer and they presented images of the former minister and the Russian spy, leaving a restaurant in the capital’s center.

The images were captured after the war in Ukraine began. The authors question whether, in the context of Nagacevschi’s involvement in the Plahotniuc case, the former official might not have been asked by Moscow to intervene, and whether the arrest of the former democratic leader might not have been orchestrated by the special services from the Kremlin.
