Two Ukrainian defense companies have presented a drone-interceptor specifically designed to neutralize Iranian-concept Russian drones named Shahed.
The new weapon comes with features such as automatic target detection and guidance in the final phase of interception, and ZIRKA developers claim that their interceptor has the lowest cost on the market, reports Kyiv Post, citing the Babel publication.
A ZIRKA drone is produced for up to 2000 dollars.
The project is carried out by Vyriy Industries in collaboration with NOCTIS and leverages the combat experience of the Ukrainian anti-Shahed battalion Darknode.
“We know what a properly scaled defense company looks like. That’s why we invest and share expertise. The Ukrainian market needs more strong players,” stated the general manager of Vyriy Industries, Oleksii Babenko.
